Role Overview

The company is hiring an experienced Team Lead UI/UX Designer who can shape intuitive and visually strong interfaces while guiding design direction across projects. The ideal professional will have a sharp eye for clean design, be able to turn broad requirements into user flows and design artifacts, and deliver interfaces that feel both attractive and easy to use.

Key Responsibilities

• Design website pages, email creatives, brochures, and other marketing materials that support a strong user experience and help the brand stand out.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to define creative, practical solutions for product direction, visual language, and overall experience.
• Handle the complete visual design process, from early concept development through final delivery to engineering or marketing teams.
• Develop original design concepts that simplify complex problems and improve usability.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to clearly present interaction ideas and design structure.
• Present concepts and final outputs to colleagues and senior decision-makers, and confidently explain design choices.
• Gather user insights through research and use feedback to refine design outcomes.
• Set, support, and promote design standards, best practices, and style guidelines.

Requirements

• Strong prior experience in UI design.
• A solid portfolio that demonstrates UI and UX design capabilities.
• Hands-on experience building wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
• Comfort using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or similar wireframing and visual design software.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for quick prototyping.
• Strong visual design ability with a good understanding of how users interact with digital products.
• Confidence in presenting design solutions to different stakeholders and explaining their value.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical and creative approach.
• Current awareness of modern UI trends, methods, and technologies.
• A degree such as BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
• Ability to deliver work on time and perform well under pressure.
• Independent thinking, initiative, and a self-driven mindset with limited supervision.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end UI/UX work from ideation to design execution and distribution.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, internal and external stakeholders, senior leadership, and product teams.
• Prior experience in an IT, software, or technology company and familiarity with technical terminology.
• 10 to 15 years of UI/UX experience; agency experience is also acceptable.
• Work location is Kolkata.

Work Location

This role is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India and is expected to be performed onsite.
