Job description
Programme Overview
The Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP) is a 15-month accelerated development journey built for high-potential graduates who want early exposure to real business challenges and the chance to make a tangible impact from day one. Rather than a standard management trainee track, this programme uses structured rotations across important areas within the function so participants can build a well-rounded understanding of how the business operates. Progress is reviewed through multiple assessments during the programme to support reflection, performance tracking, and focused growth. The goal is to prepare strong future leaders for Unilever Bangladesh and the wider FMCG sector.
Role Details
Function: Human Resources
Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
Programme Duration: 15 months
What You Will Do
In the Human Resources stream, you will own meaningful live projects that align with Unilever’s strategic priorities and require you to deliver measurable business results. Each rotation will be supported by senior leaders, giving you the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals and observe important decision-making processes.
- Lead projects from start to finish, making sure they contribute clear business value.
- Use structured problem-solving, data analysis, and commercial thinking to handle complex business issues.
- Gain broad exposure across Human Resources, including HR Business Partnering and People Experience.
- Work with specialist HR teams to understand employee engagement approaches and learn about Employee Relations, including blue-collar factory workforce management.
- Show strong accountability by managing timelines, tracking progress, and delivering consistently high-quality output.
- Share your findings, recommendations, and outcomes with senior leadership to support business decisions.
Learning and Development
This programme is designed to offer hands-on experience through high-impact assignments, while helping you become familiar with Unilever’s tools, technologies, and ways of working. You will develop a strong understanding of the full Human Resources function and receive regular feedback from experienced managers and industry professionals to support your personal and professional growth.
Mentorship and Support
Each participant receives ongoing guidance through a formal support structure that includes a dedicated mentor and buddy. This framework is intended to provide coaching, direction, and continuous feedback throughout the programme.
Final Placement and Future Growth
At the end of the programme, participants will present a full summary of their journey and contributions to the Unilever Bangladesh Management Committee. Final placement into a full-time role, as well as progression to the next level, will depend on performance and potential. Strong performance may also open up opportunities across Unilever Bangladesh and the global Unilever network.
Eligibility Criteria
This opportunity is for final-year undergraduate students from recognised universities who will complete all academic coursework, excluding internship requirements, by September 2026. Candidates must be available for a full-time, on-site work arrangement and should be prepared to put in strong effort throughout the selection and programme journey. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 is required, along with evidence of engagement beyond academics such as business competitions, debating, entrepreneurship, part-time work, or leadership roles.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is curious, ambitious, and eager to learn. You should be comfortable analysing problems, structuring your thoughts clearly, and working collaboratively across teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important, as is a proactive attitude, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to adapt in a fast-moving environment.
Selection Process
Applicants may apply for only one functional track; applying for more than one will lead to automatic disqualification at the first stage. After submitting the application, candidates must complete a psychometric assessment that combines aptitude testing and is mandatory for further consideration. This assessment must be completed before the registration deadline. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted with the next steps.
Fair Hiring and Inclusion
Unilever follows a fair, transparent, and merit-based hiring process to provide equal opportunity for all applicants. The company also promotes diversity and inclusion and encourages candidates who need support or workplace access accommodations to mention this during the application process so appropriate assistance can be arranged.
