Job Overview
The HEINEKEN Company is hiring a Driver in Harar, Ethiopia. The role is focused on delivering safe, dependable and professional transport support to the Brewery Manager, approved guests and family members when required. The position calls for strong driving discipline, strict punctuality, careful vehicle upkeep and a respectful attitude that aligns with HEINEKEN’s workplace standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide secure, comfortable and defensive driving in full compliance with road safety rules, traffic regulations and company expectations.
- Plan trips carefully so arrivals for meetings, office visits, airport transfers, events and home pickups are on time.
- Safeguard all confidential information connected to the Brewery Manager’s travel, conversations, documents, schedule and family matters.
- Offer courteous and professional service to management, visitors, family members, employees and outside contacts.
- Maintain a calm, service-minded presence in the vehicle by avoiding distractions, smoking, loud music, arguments, gossip and other conduct that could reduce passenger comfort.
- Present the company well outside the vehicle through proper grooming, respectful communication, orderly parking and professional dealings with security personnel, police, hotel teams, airport staff and others.
- Assess travel routes with attention to traffic, weather, road quality, parking conditions, security information and guidance from the Security team.
- Inspect the vehicle each day for tyre condition, brakes, lights, fuel, oil, water, tools and overall roadworthiness, while keeping it clean, arranged and ready for use.
- Carry out CILT duties, report mechanical or safety issues immediately, and coordinate servicing, repairs and maintenance follow-up with the General Services team.
- Handle accidents, breakdowns, health emergencies and security-related incidents calmly, then notify the appropriate people without delay.
- Keep the line supervisor, Management Team, General Services, Security and other relevant stakeholders informed on schedules, route concerns and vehicle condition.
- Take on additional transport, administrative or support work assigned by the line supervisor, as long as it follows company policy and safety standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Completion of 10th grade or above.
- Valid 3rd grade driving license.
