Role Overview

The organization is looking for an experienced Databricks trainer who can conduct impactful training for professionals and enterprise customers in Brazil. This role calls for practical expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, and modern data engineering and data science workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead live virtual learning sessions on Databricks, Spark, and related technologies.
• Adapt training material to match client objectives, industry scenarios, and business needs.
• Facilitate workshops, practical labs, and interactive question-and-answer sessions.
• Help participants strengthen both basic and advanced knowledge in data engineering and data science with Databricks.
• Keep current with the newest Databricks updates, capabilities, and recommended practices.
• Share improvement suggestions with the curriculum team to refine course content.
• Assist with pre-sales activities by delivering product demonstrations or webinars when needed.

Required Background

• Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or educator in data analytics, engineering, or cloud-related domains.
• At least 3 years of practical experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and PySpark.
• Strong working knowledge of data engineering, SQL, Python, and big data technologies.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP will be considered an advantage.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation ability.
• Experience delivering technical training to adult learners or corporate teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Databricks or Spark certification, such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate.
• Background in mentoring or teaching in technical settings.
• Capability to develop training content and hands-on lab exercises.

Additional Requirements

The role requires at least 5 years of computer industry experience and 3 years of teaching or instructional experience. The candidate should either already hold Databricks certifications or be willing to earn them within 60 days of joining. A strong foundation in data analysis, data engineering with a focus on Apache Spark and Python, and/or machine learning is expected. The person must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, manage sessions well, and show strong facilitation skills. Willingness to travel away from home when required is also necessary.
