The Office for Digitalization and Process Organization (DiP) plays a vital role as a collaborative partner of municipal departments and entities, driving digital transformation in Nuremberg. DiP develops process and technology solutions in close cooperation with the city's IT, aiming to harness digital opportunities for the community’s benefit. The office promotes staff initiative, creativity, and professional growth.
Role Overview
This is an 18-month full-time trainee program structured into three phases:
- Orientation and induction stage, including introductory internships, training sessions, and observational opportunities.
- Training phase involving supporting project management activities, enhancing project workflows, optimizing processes, realizing the "Digital City Administration" strategy, assisting communication, managing digitalization initiatives, and organizational analyses.
- Advanced phase focused on leading one or multiple partial or full projects, for instance in organizational studies, development, or digital transformation.
Trainees actively participate in the daily functions of the "Strategy, Communication, and Control" division throughout all stages.
There will be regular weekly meetings with your designated contact at the DiP office, alongside opportunities for internal training such as agile project management and process management courses.
Starting from the final project leadership phase, support is provided to help develop a long-term employment perspective.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have a successfully completed university degree in economics or administrative sciences (e.g., Diploma, Master's, or Magister) with fields like business administration, economics, business informatics, industrial engineering, or public management.
- Strong interest in digitalizing business processes, ideally with some experience in project and change management.
- Knowledge of economics and IT relevant to digital topics such as artificial intelligence, data management, or no-code/low-code platforms.
- Team-oriented mindset, intercultural sensitivity, proactive attitude, and strong self-organization skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with agile and hybrid project management approaches is advantageous.
Employment Conditions and Benefits
- Remuneration aligned with pay grade 11 TVöD.
- Position limited to 18 months.
