About the role

NLP Sports Ltd is offering an opportunity for an aspiring Trainee Football Agent, Consultant, or Scout to build a career in sports management. The position is based in the United Kingdom and is intended for someone with a genuine interest in football, strong communication ability, and a desire to learn from experienced professionals.

This role is aimed at people with moderate experience who want to work with players aged 16 and above and potentially progress into a permanent position. You will gain exposure to player representation, industry networking, and support work that helps athletes develop their careers.

What you will do

  • Support senior agents in spotting promising football talent through research and match attendance.
  • Help prepare and negotiate player agreements while keeping within relevant rules and protecting client interests.
  • Arrange the practical side of trials, meetings, and events, including travel and diary coordination.
  • Build productive relationships with players, clubs, and other contacts to keep communication smooth and effective.
  • Handle administrative record-keeping for player profiles, contracts, and negotiations so information remains accurate and current.

Requirements

  • A strong enthusiasm for football and the wider sports sector.
  • Confident communication and negotiation abilities.
  • The ability to create and sustain good working relationships with players and clubs.
  • A willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a busy environment.
  • Basic awareness of player contracts and the legal side of sports management.
  • Moderate prior experience in football agency, consulting, scouting, or a related area.
