Role overview
FlixTrain is looking for a dispatcher to support smooth rail operations in its network in Berlin. In this position, you will help keep services stable, on time, and customer-focused by coordinating rolling stock and train crew, making operational decisions during disruptions, and working closely with an experienced control-center team.

Key duties
- Plan and coordinate vehicles and train staff in day-to-day rail operations.
- Respond to disruptions, delays, and exceptional situations with practical operational decisions.
- Record incidents and keep communication flowing with management and operations teams.
- Provide timely passenger updates when service changes occur.
- Work within a structured 24/7 shift system as part of a team.
- Help maintain quality and safety throughout the operating process.
- Support and mentor new colleagues during onboarding.
What you bring
- Very good German skills at C1 level or above; basic English is an advantage.
- Prior experience in dispatching, ideally in long-distance transport, railway operations, or traffic control.
- Resilience, confidence in decision-making, and the ability to assert yourself when needed.
- A structured approach with strong focus on solutions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills when dealing with colleagues and train crews.
- Comfortable using a PC, email, and common office software.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
