Job description
Position Overview
Chevron Traffic Management, located at the Ringwood depot and serving areas such as Bournemouth, Salisbury, Weymouth, Dorchester, Southampton, and Shaftesbury, is seeking qualified Traffic Management Operatives. This role involves ensuring safety during roadworks by implementing temporary road closures, diversions, and pedestrian pathways using cones, signage, traffic lights, and barriers.
Work Hours and Flexibility
The role guarantees 48 hours per week with additional overtime opportunities, including weekend shifts. While day shifts are typical, candidates must be willing to work evenings, nights, weekends, during peak periods away from home, and participate in an on-call rotation, particularly if using a company van.
Virtual Hiring Event
Applicants can join a virtual hiring event on July 21st and 22nd from 9:30am to 2pm to engage with the team, learn about available opportunities and benefits, and advance their traffic management career.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of M1/M2 Lantra qualifications or higher (M3-M6 and SLG Unit 2 also considered).
- Knowledge of Chapter 8 traffic management regulations.
- A full driving license with no more than six points; no driving bans for at least five years.
- Passing a drug and alcohol test is mandatory for employment.
- Demonstrated positive attitude with a can-do mindset.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and locations.
- Ability to mentor trainee operatives.
- Willingness to sign a training agreement related to traffic management education.
