Role Summary
This permanent full-time position based in Invercargill requires a confident and dependable individual to join as a Trade Sales / Driver. The job involves active engagement on the road and at the trade counter, providing excellent service to customers and supporting the branch in various capacities.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver products to construction sites, fostering strong customer relationships.
- Operate the trade counter to assist customers promptly and efficiently.
- Support additional branch activities as needed to maintain smooth operations.
Candidate Profile
- Customer-oriented approach whether on-site or in the branch.
- Physical fitness to handle lifting up to 20 kilograms comfortably.
- Positive and eager to learn attitude, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
- Team player ready to assist with loading trucks and engaging with customers.
- Knowledge of trade is advantageous but not mandatory as training will be provided.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to adapt and anticipate challenges effectively.
- Strong sales and customer service capabilities.
- Dependable with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence and valid forklift licence.
- Professional appearance coupled with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Working Conditions and Schedule
This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
