Trade Operator (Lights) - Integrated Energy Player

Role overview

This position owns the operational lifecycle of lights trades, starting with contract booking and continuing through to demurrage settlement. You will partner with traders, chartering, and finance teams to keep every trade accurate, compliant, and completed on time.

Key responsibilities

• Handle after-trade processes for light cargoes, including contract verification, letter of credit checks, document review, and laytime/demurrage computation.
• Coordinate with traders, brokers, vessel owners, and terminals to arrange vessel nominations, loading and discharge timing, and cargo paperwork.
• Track trade positions, reconcile records, and make sure invoicing and settlement happen without delay.
• Partner with credit, legal, and finance stakeholders to fix any contract or document inconsistencies.
• Keep trading and ETRM system records complete, current, and accurate.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in trade operations, specifically within refined products or light distillates.
• Good working knowledge of Incoterms, laytime, and demurrage calculations.
• Hands-on experience using ETRM platforms such as Endur, Aligne, or comparable systems.
