Job Overview
The Tracking Executive role involves overseeing the real-time tracking of vehicles and shipments, guaranteeing prompt and precise updates for clients and internal teams. The position requires liaising with drivers, transporters, and various operational units to avoid delays and resolve transit complications effectively.
Primary Duties
- Utilize GPS and transport management tools to monitor vehicle and shipment locations.
- Oversee shipments from collection through to delivery endpoints.
- Maintain communication lines with drivers, transportation partners, and branch networks to receive current status updates.
- Deliver timely shipment status notifications to customers and internal departments.
- Detect and report transportation issues such as delays, route changes, and breakdowns.
- Ensure collection and dissemination of Proof of Delivery documents to relevant teams.
- Maintain precise tracking logs and compile daily movement summaries.
- Collaborate with operations, customer service, and warehouse groups to facilitate flawless processes.
- Adhere to established company procedures and customer-specific protocols.
- Address customer inquiries about shipment progress professionally and efficiently.
Required Competencies
- Effective verbal and written communication along with coordination abilities.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking technology and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Meticulous attention to detail for accurate reporting.
- Basic understanding of transport and logistics principles.
