Role overview
The Schlosstheater Celle is seeking an experienced carpenter to join its theatre workshop team in Celle, Lower Saxony. The position is available immediately and is based in the theatre’s production workshops, where stage sets and scenic elements are built for the theatre’s repertory and youth programme.
The theatre employs around 130 people and operates across the main theatre, studio stages and HALLE 19. Its programme includes approximately 21 new productions per season, along with the JUNGE SCHLOSSTHEATER programme, which also involves school partnerships and club projects. Set construction takes place in the theatre’s dedicated workshops on Hannoversche Heerstraße, alongside other technical departments such as metalwork, upholstery and scenic painting.
Key duties
- Carry out carpentry tasks for stage and production requirements.
- Work closely with the other technical workshop teams.
- Develop construction plans based on artistic designs.
- Support technical setups, planning activities and procurement.
Required profile
The role calls for a completed carpentry qualification and at least three years of professional experience. The ideal candidate should enjoy creative work, be comfortable developing new solutions and remain calm even in demanding situations. A structured, responsible, solution-oriented and communicative working style is expected, along with a strong ability to collaborate in a team.
