About the Company
Mekanika, a prominent player in the Building and Engineering Services sector, specializes in mechanical and electrical contracting, HVAC solutions, lifts and escalators, industrial products, and facilities management. Due to expansion, they are hiring a Tile Layer.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare walls and floors by ensuring surfaces are level and clean for tile installation.
- Measure, cut, and install a variety of tiles including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone.
- Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants to achieve a high-quality tiled finish.
- Perform tile repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Fit skirting tiles, stair nosings, and decorative tile finishes when required.
- Ensure proper waterproofing and surface preparation prior to tiling activities.
- Keep the work environment tidy and safe while following all health and safety guidelines.
Candidate Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar tiling role within the Building Services industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Strong dedication to quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and safety standards.
- Self-driven, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Possess a mature, honest nature and work well within a team.
