About the role

Country Road Group is seeking a Third in Charge (3IC) for its Canberra City store in Russell, Australian Capital Territory. This is an entry-level leadership opportunity focused on improving the in-store customer journey through high-quality selling, excellent service, and strong team execution. The position is intended to help build the next generation of leaders by developing the capabilities needed to grow within the business.

The 3IC works from the shop floor, coaching the team in real time, sharing immediate feedback, and demonstrating the standards and behaviours that bring the brand to life for every customer. The role is store-wide rather than department-specific, with a strong focus on lifting sales, service consistency, energy, and operational delivery across all areas of the store.

Key responsibilities

• Support the store team in consistently delivering the brand’s customer experience within the department.
• Guide the department to strong operational performance through stock control and loss prevention practices.
• Keep customer needs at the centre of decision-making and day-to-day action.
• Help strengthen team capability and contribute to long-term succession planning for the store and the wider group.
• Maintain a safe workplace for team members, visitors, and customers, with a clear emphasis on wellbeing.
• Ensure the team understands the brand direction and business strategy, and how their role supports both.
