Role Overview

Calian supports employers across Canada that need psychological assessments for prospective employees entering high-risk positions or jobs involving firearms. The clinical psychologists on the team conduct in-person interviews after candidates complete assessment tests.

This position is for a casual Test Administrator responsible for coordinating written testing for small to medium-sized groups at different locations around the city.

What the Job Involves

• Prepare assessment materials before each session.
• Explain test instructions clearly to candidates.
• Supervise the room while testing is underway.
• Handle testing sessions for groups at multiple city locations.
• Work on an as-needed basis depending on candidate volume.
• Be available for weekday daytime shifts only, with no weekend work.
• Expect the workload to be limited to about 3 to 4 eight-hour shifts each month.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A degree in psychology, or a closely related field, is considered a major advantage.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle are mandatory.
• Experience administering exams or invigilating groups is a strong plus.
• Strong English fluency is required.
• Applicants must be able to work Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
• Eligibility for PSPC reliability security clearance is required.
• Comfort with Excel is needed.

Additional Information

This is a casual contract arrangement with flexible hours. Compensation is set at $20 to $25 per hour. There is 1 opening for this position.
