About the role
The Territory Manager for 2-wheeler lending is responsible for building and handling loan business through dealers and existing channel partners. This position is centered on growing a strong-quality loan book, while following internal processes and regulatory requirements. The role also involves leading a team, nurturing market relationships, and supporting business expansion in a manner that balances sales targets with risk control for the bank’s retail lending operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage business via dealers and other market-linked channels.
- Bring in new customers and support steady loan disbursal volumes.
- Protect portfolio quality by keeping delinquencies and application rejections low.
- Track channel partners closely and steer them toward business objectives.
- Keep current with retail asset offerings, operating procedures, and market developments.
- Recognize shifts in the market and build approaches for channel expansion and customer acquisition.
- Follow all internal rules, operational steps, and compliance standards.
- Suggest refinements in sales workflows and credit norms to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth service delivery and a better customer experience.
- Strengthen sourcing through strategic alliances and direct channels.
Education and experience
A graduate degree in any discipline is required. A postgraduate qualification such as MBA or PGDM is preferred. The ideal candidate should bring at least 2 years of relevant experience in retail lending, with 2-wheeler loans or similar asset financing being the preferred background.
