Job description
Role Overview
We are searching for a seasoned Telecommunications Build Planning Lead to oversee and manage the complete build process from inception to completion. This role entails planning resource allocation, scheduling tasks, coordinating across the project lifecycle, handling subcontractors and materials, nurturing client relations, overseeing financial performance, and ensuring projects meet key performance indicators and service level agreements.
Location and Reporting
Based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, this position reports directly to the Operations Manager Central North. Collaboration with operational teams, customers, subcontractors, local authorities, and other key parties is essential to deliver exceptional project results.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Proven background in utilities network development with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive experience in supervising contractors and subcontractors to meet established performance goals.
- Skilled in planning and scheduling extensive resource groups and effectively managing multiple workstreams.
- Demonstrated financial and commercial expertise managing budgets, margins, costs, and contract variations.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building talents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence and collaborate across various teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Dedicated to safety, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement.
