Job Overview
As a Tele-Interviewer, you will work remotely within a call center setup, conducting interviews lasting between 20 to 60 minutes. You will handle both inbound and outbound calls with insurance applicants, completing or arranging tele-interviews. Your primary role is to accurately gather and record detailed information about applicants' lifestyle and medical history through telephone questionnaires while delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive and precise telephone interviews with insurance clients.
- Continually improve interviewing skills through cross-training on different insurance providers and receiving quality feedback.
- Complete all scheduled interviews daily, ensuring strict adherence to questionnaires and maintaining excellent customer service.
- Ensure accurate documentation free from errors in applicant responses during interviews.
- Submit completed questionnaires promptly after each interview.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve quality and productivity targets.
- Perform follow-up calls as necessary to resolve outstanding applicant needs.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls professionally, addressing inquiries and scheduling as required.
- Use respectful communication techniques especially when handling sensitive calls to resolve concerns effectively.
- Respond promptly to team communications via internal channels for assistance.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education or college diploma in a relevant field such as Health Sciences.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Experience in a high-volume call center environment where manual call transcription was essential.
- Fluency in other languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
- Technical skills including intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning.
- Experience in medical environments is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills suitable for collaborative work settings.
- Ability to thrive under fast-paced and sometimes stressful conditions.
- Self-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a results-oriented context.
- Expertise in conflict resolution techniques.

Working Conditions
- This role is fully remote.
- Approximately 85% of the workday involves telephone interactions.
Compensation and Hours
The position offers $19.35 per hour for 20 hours weekly, including evening shifts and Saturdays.
