About the Role

As a Technical Specialist in Emerging Technologies focused on Construction at Autodesk, you will leverage your experience in the AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations) sector or AECO technology industry to address customer challenges by positioning Autodesk Construction Cloud solutions. This role involves crafting value-oriented technical solutions that facilitate client outcomes, readying customers for adoption, and mitigating technical and delivery risks during business growth.

You’ll join a dynamic pre-sales team dedicated to deploying the ACC platform across various digital maturity levels in clients. Success entails qualifying opportunities, verifying technical fit, supporting evaluations with clear success metrics, and enabling teams and partners for scalable technical solution deployment.

This position reports to the Technical Solutions Manager for EMEA. Note that relocation support is not provided, though visa sponsorship is available. Candidates located in the UAE are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Sales Specialists to assess customer needs, ensuring opportunity qualification, technical preparedness, and advancing validated prospects toward closure.
  • Work alongside Customer Success, Marketing, Channel, and R&D teams to deliver consistent, high-quality solutions and successful customer adoption.
  • Engage in joint Autodesk and partner-led initiatives to support alignment, enablement, and consistent technical execution.
  • Influence product development by relaying structured client feedback, validation results, and business impact insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in strategic speaking engagements at internal and external events collaborating with Marketing and Enablement teams.
  • Mentor and onboard new staff, and contribute to the upskilling of the broader technical pre-sales community.
  • Conduct thorough discovery sessions to analyze business and technical workflows and requirements, establishing trusted advisory relationships supporting digital transformation.
  • Translate client needs into solution hypotheses, technical criteria, and defined next steps for qualification and validation.
  • Manage end-to-end technical evaluations, including demos, pilots, RFP responses, roadmap presentations, and proposals focused on client outcomes.
  • Facilitate pilot programs by defining success parameters, documenting outcomes, and identifying technical or adoption risks.
  • Contribute vital technical input for business cases and sales proposals ensuring alignment across value, feasibility, and commercial factors.
  • Document and track engagements in Salesforce, including pain points, decision criteria, assumptions, metrics, risks, outcomes, and next steps.
  • Maintain updated industry knowledge regarding AECO practices, Autodesk solutions, and emerging tech trends to guide responsible solution positioning.
  • Share knowledge, competitive intelligence, innovation insights, and successes to uplift the team’s performance.
  • Build and uphold industry reputation through deep domain expertise and active networking and brand presence on professional platforms.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years in AECO industry roles such as BIM Manager or in AECO technology sector roles like technical pre-sales, solutions consulting, or implementations.
  • Strong familiarity with Autodesk’s design and construction products, capable of articulating value across diverse customer maturity levels.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
  • General understanding of SaaS, cloud platforms, and pre-sales technical processes.
  • Proven experience leading discovery calls, delivering demos, and managing pilots or proof-of-value initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with sales teams and channel partners in hybrid sales models.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed since this is a hybrid role combining onsite requirements.
