Role Overview
As Technical Sales Manager for Swine, you will work closely with swine farms and feed mills to identify their needs and provide practical technical solutions that support their business goals. You will help expand the specialty swine business by bringing new products, technologies, and recommendations to key accounts.
You will partner with the commercial team and wider Cargill network to uncover growth opportunities, support customers with ongoing technical advice, and help deliver projects related to introducing or applying new technologies in the market. This is a remote position, with the customer base concentrated mainly in the northern half of Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Spot new business opportunities and stay updated on emerging technology trends in the swine sector.
- Oversee budgets linked to technical projects in your assigned region.
- Diagnose customer challenges and deliver technical support using your experience and broad subject knowledge.
- Provide practical, hands-on assistance to priority customers across the region.
- Coordinate closely with the swine commercial team to create strong outcomes for both customers and the business.
- Take on additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or MSc in Animal Science or Animal Nutrition.
- Strong understanding of animal nutrition for monogastric species.
- Proven experience in swine nutrition roles where customer or industry needs are converted into commercial solutions.
- Practical background in swine production.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Ireland, up to 70%.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and a business-focused mindset.
- Valid B driving licence.
