About the Role
We are looking for a committed and detail-focused Technical Operations Engineer to join our team. This position involves ensuring the stability, performance, and efficiency of production systems. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, solid experience managing SQL databases, and a thorough knowledge of Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and operations.
- Execute data analysis and generate reports by writing SQL queries.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alert systems to detect and address problems proactively.
- Enhance system security by applying updates, controlling access, and adhering to operational best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and business teams to deploy, support, and enhance software applications.
- Maintain documentation including processes, system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
- Handle customer support tickets within agreed service level agreements.
- Engage in incident handling and perform root cause analysis.
- Support automation efforts and continuously improve operational workflows.
Requirements
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
- Background in financial services, derivatives trading, or capital markets preferred; familiarity with Middle or Back Office processes is a plus.
- Advanced skills with SQL, particularly MySQL/MariaDB.
- Experienced in Linux system administration and Bash scripting.
- Knowledge of AI applications for service automation.
- Proficient in Python programming.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and collaborative mindset.
- Experience with Git version control is advantageous.
