Technical Operations Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a committed and detail-focused Technical Operations Engineer to join our team. This position involves ensuring the stability, performance, and efficiency of production systems. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, solid experience managing SQL databases, and a thorough knowledge of Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and operations.
• Execute data analysis and generate reports by writing SQL queries.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alert systems to detect and address problems proactively.
• Enhance system security by applying updates, controlling access, and adhering to operational best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and business teams to deploy, support, and enhance software applications.
• Maintain documentation including processes, system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
• Handle customer support tickets within agreed service level agreements.
• Engage in incident handling and perform root cause analysis.
• Support automation efforts and continuously improve operational workflows.

Requirements

• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
• Background in financial services, derivatives trading, or capital markets preferred; familiarity with Middle or Back Office processes is a plus.
• Advanced skills with SQL, particularly MySQL/MariaDB.
• Experienced in Linux system administration and Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of AI applications for service automation.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and collaborative mindset.
• Experience with Git version control is advantageous.
