Role overview

Datadog’s technical solutions team supports the company’s growth by helping prospective customers understand the platform and by ensuring current customers see strong results from it. In this position, you will act as a hands-on technical advisor for Datadog’s largest accounts, guiding product use, adoption, and value realization across the full suite of features. The role calls for someone who is recognized as a trusted technical partner and who can connect IT operations outcomes to business impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance on support, adoption, and product usage across pre-sales, post-sales, and renewal stages.
  • Review customer IT operations environments regularly and recommend changes that help increase the value they get from Datadog.
  • Represent the customer’s needs by understanding their objectives and use cases, then advising on process improvements, configuration changes, feature adoption, and additional capabilities.
  • Take part in preparing for and running Monthly Business Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews with customers.
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and technical services teams to surface opportunities for new features and products.
  • Keep improving practices that support technical adoption and long-term customer success.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong technical foundation with practical experience in IT operations.
  • Hands-on exposure to at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Comfort working with scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Go, PHP, or infrastructure tools such as Chef and Puppet.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
  • Experience supporting mid-market and/or enterprise customers in a cloud environment as a Technical Account Manager.
  • Prior use of Datadog or another cloud monitoring platform.
  • Willingness to sit for up to 4 hours while traveling to and from client locations.
  • Ability to travel by car, train, or air for up to 30% of the time.
