Team Leader Yard Person

Role overview

This full-time yard leadership role is based in Darwin and suits someone who is comfortable with hands-on work, manual handling, and operating in a yard-based logistics environment. The client delivers tailored logistics support for major oil and gas businesses by coordinating and improving supply chain performance.

Working hours and pay

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Pay rate: $44 per hour, plus penalties
• Overtime may be available

Main duties

• Carry out day-to-day yard team leader tasks
• Operate a forklift and manage stock safely
• Perform manual handling duties as required
• Keep the yard clean, tidy, and well organised

Required background and capabilities

• Forklift licence and driver’s licence are required
• Previous experience in oil and gas is advantageous
• Load restraint and distribution certification is desirable
• Confidence using computers, especially the Microsoft Office suite
• Current first aid knowledge or certification
• Good physical fitness for manual labour
• Dependable, hardworking, and consistent approach to work
