Community Connections is a dedicated provider of disability support services across New Zealand's North Island, committed to enabling disabled individuals to live their lives according to their own choices within their communities. Role Summary
We are seeking a committed female Team Leader to join our Palmerston North team in a permanent, full-time capacity, working 80 hours per fortnight. This hands-on leadership role involves close collaboration with the Service Delivery Lead to support and guide a small team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, personalised services.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily service delivery tasks ensuring smooth operations.
- Facilitate staff orientation and manage shift handovers effectively.
- Manage rostering and organise relief coverage as required.
- Maintain open communication within the team, providing practical guidance.
- Monitor service quality and maintain accurate documentation.
- Complete progress notes, reporting, and other administrative duties.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive home environment for service users.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is calm, empathetic, and takes a proactive stance in work. You excel in building respectful relationships, supporting independence, wellbeing, and fostering community connections. Your communication skills are clear and confident, and you thrive in collaborative environments. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities are essential, as well as the capacity to respond adeptly to shifting circumstances.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Full New Zealand driver's license.
- Completion of Level 3 or Level 4 qualifications in health or wellbeing.
- At least two years of experience in a relevant support role.
