Role overview
Octave is hiring a Team Lead, Industry Consulting to support pre-sales work for industrial facilities. The role sits within the pre-sales technical function and reports to the Director of Pre-Sales. It focuses on guiding customer engagements across the asset lifecycle, from design through operations, with the aim of improving digital maturity through Octave’s solutions.
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Workplace style: Hybrid. Req Id: 1791.
What you will do
- Partner with the sales team to understand client priorities and build account approaches that support the desired business outcomes.
- Review customer processes, business practices, workflows, and technical setups in detail.
- Convert findings into practical recommendations using Octave solutions to support digital change.
- Turn customer pain points into solution plans in coordination with Solution Consultants, Industry Consultants, and Product teams.
- Run pre-sales activities such as workshops, discovery meetings, solution positioning, value messaging, and proposal preparation.
- Share structured insights that can help shape product direction and future roadmap decisions.
- Contribute to business and functional requirements for RFI and RFP responses.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers as they progress through their digital transformation journey with Octave’s capabilities.
What Octave is looking for
- A degree in Engineering, Business, or an equivalent field.
- About 15 years of relevant experience in pre-sales, consulting, or technical leadership, especially in industrial facilities.
- Proven background in business development or industry consulting with a digital transformation focus.
- Strong grasp of industrial workflows and lifecycle stages spanning engineering, construction, and operations.
- Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience preparing and delivering strategic roadmaps and digital maturity assessments.
- Strong English skills; Arabic is preferred.
- Comfort working in a matrixed, multinational environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% across the EMIA region.
