Job description
Position Overview
This role requires a dedicated teacher to provide exceptional student education support within Leon County Schools. The teacher will work closely with students with disabilities, ensuring their educational needs are met effectively across multiple districts.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree coupled with at least five years of successful teaching experience working with students who have disabilities.
- Possession of a valid Florida certification specifically in the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) field.
- A valid Florida driver’s license along with dependable transportation, enabling travel throughout the Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS) Miccosukee service area, covering the counties of Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla.
- Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule, including availability during nights and weekends to satisfy the requirements of various districts and schools.
- Strong oral and written communication capabilities.
- Competence to effectively perform all responsibilities attributed to this position.
