Role Overview

In this cook role, you will help deliver consistent, high-quality dishes that support an excellent guest experience. You will be responsible for keeping kitchen activity running smoothly during your shift, handling ingredients properly, and maintaining standards for freshness, safety, and presentation. Accuracy, speed, and strong attention to detail are key to success in this position.

Key Duties

The position includes preparing menu items according to standard recipes or supervisor guidance, supporting the chef with production and plating, and keeping the workstation clean and orderly throughout the shift. You will also be expected to store, label, and rotate ingredients correctly, check kitchen and refrigeration equipment for cleanliness and proper function, and assist with general kitchen cleaning as needed. Guest service, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and applicable regulations are also part of the job.

Qualifications

Candidates should bring at least one year of cooking experience in a busy or fast-moving kitchen. The role calls for solid knife handling skills, the ability to work carefully and accurately under pressure, and clear communication with both guests and coworkers. A respectful, inclusive, and safety-focused approach is expected.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. They must also be able to obtain and keep any required work cards, verify authorization to work in the United States, and meet the company’s compliance obligations, including applicable gaming laws, internal controls, policies, procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations where relevant.

Work Card Requirement

A Food Handlers Card is required.

Physical Demands

This job involves frequent standing and walking, as well as regular squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, and reaching. It also requires the ability to push or pull up to 50 lbs frequently, lift or carry up to 50 lbs at floor, knee, waist, and chest height, communicate via in-person conversation, radio, and telephone, hear and distinguish speech and sounds, identify shades of color, and use tools or equipment that demand a high level of dexterity.

Work Environment

The role is performed indoors in conditions that may be noisy, brightly lit with flashing lights, and exposed to extreme heights, hot and cold temperatures, slippery surfaces, dust, fumes, and gases.
