About the Role

EY invites you to join as a Talent Consultant, a vital role within EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), based in Chennai. This position involves partnering with business leaders, managers, and employees to manage talent strategies, engagement, and development initiatives aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Strategic Talent Consultants in creating and executing a sustainable engagement framework tailored to the business unit.
  • Support leaders and managers in deploying engagement programs effectively across the unit.
  • Proactively identify and address workforce issues and requirements within the business unit.
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations cases and evaluate business decisions regarding people impact.
  • Ensure professional delivery of talent management activities to support business objectives.
  • Implement innovative human resource programs and resolve HR-related issues promptly, coordinating with Employee Relations when necessary.
  • Lead change management efforts and aid the adoption of projects such as performance management, talent transformation, development, and reward processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and oversee risk management related to HR processes like performance assessments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A graduate or postgraduate degree preferably in Business or Human Resource disciplines.
  • 6 to 8 years of comprehensive HR generalist experience including performance management and employee relations.
  • Proven expertise in managing talent initiatives effectively within an organization.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in consulting or professional services environments.
  • Exposure to working in virtual, cross-border teams.
  • Strong business insight and the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Robust experience handling complex disciplinary, grievance, and performance management matters, particularly at leadership levels.
  • Capability to collaborate globally, handle ambiguity, and build consensus.
  • Self-driven, curious, and passionate about continuous learning and contributing to cross-functional HR projects.
