Role overview

EY is hiring a Talent Consultant – Supervising Associate for its Global Delivery Services team in Hyderabad. This role sits within a fast-moving, globally connected environment and focuses on helping shape and execute the talent agenda for a business unit. The position is suited to someone who enjoys working across people, leadership, and business priorities to strengthen engagement, capability, and talent outcomes.

In this role, you will act as a key contact for employees, counsellors/managers, and business unit leaders on a broad range of talent matters. You will partner with internal stakeholders to drive engagement, support change initiatives, and ensure talent processes are delivered effectively. The work involves balancing business needs with people priorities, while helping the organization build a stronger and more sustainable workforce.

What the role involves

You will contribute to workforce planning, performance management, talent transformation, development, and reward and recognition activities. The role also calls for close collaboration with other talent teams and business stakeholders to implement projects, improve processes, and support adoption of change.

You are expected to bring a strong understanding of the business unit’s direction, anticipate issues early, and provide practical guidance on employee relations and other people-related matters. The position requires someone who can work confidently across functions, influence decisions, and help resolve HR concerns within set timelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Strategic Talent Consultant in building a sustainable engagement framework for the business unit and take ownership of delivery.
  • Help business leaders and counsellors roll out engagement initiatives across the unit.
  • Identify likely issues and needs within the business unit and address them proactively.
  • Offer thoughtful guidance on people-related matters, including employee relations cases, and explain how business decisions may affect employees.
  • Ensure people management and development activities are delivered professionally and effectively.
  • Run innovative HR programs and initiatives.
  • Resolve HR issues within the required timelines, escalating to the Employee Relations Talent function when appropriate.
  • Support change efforts and help implement special projects such as performance management, talent transformation, talent development, and reward exercises.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and help manage risks, including performance management risk.

Skills and attributes

The role calls for a mix of business understanding, influence, stakeholder management, and change leadership. You should be comfortable operating in ambiguous situations, building consensus across diverse groups, and working with internal talent teams to align central initiatives with business needs.

Candidate profile

EY is looking for a collaborative, self-driven professional who is curious, creative, and willing to keep learning. The ideal candidate should enjoy cross-functional HR work, be comfortable working independently as well as in teams, and bring a strong service orientation toward internal stakeholders.

Experience and qualifications

  • A graduate or postgraduate qualification in business or human resources is preferred.
  • 6 to 8 years of proven HR generalist experience, including areas such as performance management and employee relations.
  • Hands-on experience managing or delivering talent initiatives is required.
  • Experience in a consulting or other professional services environment is an advantage.
  • Experience working across borders in a virtual environment would be beneficial.
