Job description
About the role
Wilson Elser is a national law firm with more than 1,400 attorneys working from 46 offices across the United States. The firm is recognized by major legal industry rankings and is built on a workplace culture centered on teamwork, innovation, service, and respect.
They are hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting for professional staff across the organization. The role focuses on non-attorney hiring, including legal support, administrative, business services, and similar functions. This is a remote or hybrid opportunity and may be based in any state where the firm has an office.
What you will do
You will manage end-to-end recruiting for professional staff roles across multiple offices and departments. The work includes intake discussions, sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, offer support, and ongoing communication with candidates.
You will work closely with hiring managers to clarify role needs, team structure, market conditions, and hiring priorities. The role also involves creating sourcing plans, reviewing candidate fit, sharing recruitment insights, maintaining accurate records in the applicant tracking system, and helping ensure a smooth candidate experience.
In addition, you will support recruiting consistency, compliance, reporting, process improvements, and special projects as part of the broader Talent Acquisition team. Staying current on labor market trends and hiring conditions within legal and professional services recruiting is also an important part of the job.
What they are looking for
The preferred candidate will bring at least three years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition. Background in a law firm, legal services, professional services, or other corporate setting is strongly preferred.
Experience handling full-cycle recruiting for professional staff, administrative, legal support, or business services positions is an advantage. Strong sourcing ability, familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, applicant tracking systems, and related recruiting tools are also important.
Successful candidates should have excellent communication, follow-up, organization, and relationship-building skills. You should be comfortable balancing multiple open roles and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment, while exercising sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
The role requires the ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ATS platforms is expected, and Greenhouse experience is considered a plus.
Benefits and perks
Wilson Elser offers a strong benefits package, including a 401(k) match and generous paid time off. The firm also supports professional growth and advancement, and provides access to corporate discount programs and additional employee benefits.
Additional information
The firm accepts candidate submissions from recruitment agencies only when they have an active, signed fee agreement and access through the Recruitment Agency Portal. Submissions from agencies without a current agreement dated 7/1/2024 or later will not be considered. For collaboration or agreement setup, the firm directs inquiries to [email protected].
