About Glanua

Glanua delivers end-to-end solutions for the water and wastewater sector, including the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure. The company combines modern equipment, current specifications, and innovative engineering approaches to provide tailored project solutions while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental performance.

Role overview

Reporting to the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, this position is responsible for delivering the full Talent Acquisition cycle across Glanua’s Ireland-based business entities. The role partners with managers and senior stakeholders to provide a commercially minded recruitment service and to continuously improve hiring practices so the right people are placed in the right roles at the right time.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the complete recruitment lifecycle for Ireland-based Glanua and UK entities, from proactive sourcing through selection, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates to meet hiring needs while ensuring a positive recruitment experience.
  • Maintain regular communication with hiring managers, support sound hiring decisions, and advise on recruitment methods, policies, legislation, and best practice.
  • Use existing and innovative sourcing methods to attract diverse talent pools and build pipelines for current and future vacancies.
  • Adopt a direct sourcing approach where possible, while also managing external recruitment suppliers and agencies when needed.
  • Negotiate supplier terms and conditions to help keep recruitment spend low, maintain a preferred supplier list for each function, and evaluate channel and supplier performance.
  • Provide training and development support to leaders on effective interview and selection techniques.
  • Contribute to manager training and development initiatives and related programmes when required.
  • Negotiate job offers, finalise contracts with successful candidates, and handle recruitment and onboarding administration.
  • Represent Glanua’s culture, values, and mission, and promote fair, equal-opportunity hiring for internal and external appointments.
  • Deliver a personalised, high-touch candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
  • Own Talent Acquisition data and use it to support strategy development.
  • Produce recruitment and HR reports and share key metrics with the business when needed.
  • Improve the induction and onboarding journey by managing a structured, branded orientation process for new starters.
  • Support wider HR projects, processes, and ad hoc tasks as part of the broader HR team.

Key competencies

  • Ability to attract strong candidates and hire talent that meets current and future business needs.
  • Clear, timely communication, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and candidates.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate future needs and turn ideas into practical actions.
  • Strong process optimisation mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Capability to build cohesive teams and bring diverse perspectives together toward shared goals.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of how business and market factors support organisational goals.
  • Customer-oriented approach focused on building strong relationships and delivering effective solutions.

Qualifications, experience, and skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in a high-volume and fast-moving environment or similar industry.
  • Proven experience hiring across a broad range of business functions.
  • Prior exposure to working closely with leadership teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building ability.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including diplomacy and the ability to handle difficult conversations.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while also executing tasks effectively and tactically.
  • Self-driven and resourceful approach to work.
  • Experience delivering Talent Acquisition and HR projects.
  • Prior use of an ATS and/or HRIS is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
