About the Opportunity
BoomerangFX is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist for its Mississauga office. This is an in-office role requiring attendance five days a week. The position offers a base salary of $45,000 to $55,000, along with performance-based earnings that include $500 for each role filled, plus a $1,000 commission when 10 roles are closed in a month. After six months, the selected candidate becomes eligible for the company stock option plan.

Role Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the company’s growth by designing and executing hiring strategies that help attract strong candidates and build a scalable talent foundation. This role reports into senior leadership and plays an important part in shaping people, culture, and hiring practices for North American and international expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective candidates using sourcing and headhunting methods, then assess their suitability for open positions.
- Recruit through multiple channels such as social media, recruitment platforms, networking, and industry events.
- Run the full hiring process from identifying staffing needs through onboarding, including discussions on offers, benefits, and employment terms.
- Handle sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiation, and reference verification.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline using job boards, social platforms, agencies, referrals, and professional networks.
- Develop fresh hiring approaches that help attract high-quality talent.
- Represent the employer brand and help create a positive candidate journey.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of recruitment systems, initiatives, and processes.
- Stay informed about labour market shifts and developments in talent acquisition to remain competitive.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably in a startup and high-volume environment covering roles from entry level to senior level.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and surpassing hiring goals.
- Ability to use data and analytics to support decisions and improve recruitment performance.
- Experience working across inbound, outbound, referral-based, and event-driven sourcing channels.
- Capability to find, nurture, and hire passive candidates.
- Strategic, consultative approach with strong problem-solving skills throughout the recruitment process.
- Solid understanding of recruitment best practices, with attention to compliance and alignment with company values.
- Practical, detail-oriented work style suited to a fast-growing business.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- CHRP designation completed or in progress is considered an advantage.
Compensation and Additional Information
Base pay is listed at $45,000 to $55,000. In addition to salary, the role includes $500 for each position filled and a $1,000 commission for closing 10 roles in a month. The role is based onsite in Mississauga, five days per week. Stock option eligibility begins after six months through the BoomerangFX Stock Option Plan.
