About the Role

Our client, a prominent company within the consumer-packaged goods sector, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to become part of their team in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Compensation

  • The anticipated annual base salary falls between 65000 and 75000, dependent on the candidate's experience level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advertise job openings across suitable online job platforms.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand and define the ideal candidate profile.
  • Evaluate applicants based on their skills, experience, and knowledge relevant to the job criteria.
  • Organize and conduct in-person and virtual interviews with both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Communicate the benefits and programs included in the Employee Value Proposition to prospective candidates.
  • Assign positions to union members in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Work with HR Generalists, Business Partners, or Total Rewards teams to establish offer terms for internal and external candidates when necessary.
  • Manage recruitment workloads independently and support overflow hiring activities across other groups as required.
  • Build and sustain a network of contacts and online recruiting tools to help locate and engage qualified candidates.
  • Input new hire or transfer employment data into the ADP HR Information System following recruitment.
  • Create and dispatch offer letters, employment contracts, and relevant policy paperwork to candidates for approval.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possession of a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in end-to-end recruitment is required.
  • Exposure to hiring for hourly and salaried roles within manufacturing settings is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with provincial employment laws such as the Ontario Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, and Ontario Labour Relations Act.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills allowing prioritization and multitasking of daily assignments and projects efficiently.
  • Proficiency using job advertising platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed.
