Role summary

PolicyMe is hiring a proactive, detail-oriented leader to help guide the company’s next stage of growth. In this position, you will take full ownership of talent acquisition, driving hiring across multiple functions with particular emphasis on software engineering roles. The job suits someone who is comfortable both executing directly and improving systems, partnering with stakeholders, and shaping recruiting strategy. You will have a meaningful impact on how the company identifies, evaluates, and secures strong talent while building a recruitment function that can grow with the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the talent acquisition function end to end, setting the approach for hiring as the company scales while directly managing important searches across technical and business teams, especially Product and Engineering.
  • Work side by side with hiring managers to clarify hiring requirements, define candidate profiles, and keep searches progressing efficiently.
  • Drive sourcing through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, pipeline-building efforts, and early-career hiring programs to bring in strong candidates.
  • Improve hiring quality and scalability by spotting workflow blockers, refining recruiting processes, and strengthening interview structure and manager alignment.
  • Leverage recruiting metrics, market data, and funnel analysis to support better hiring decisions and improve recruiting outcomes.
  • Own recruitment dashboards and reporting, turning hiring data and market insights into practical actions for the business.
  • Collaborate closely with company leadership and the People team in a fast-paced environment that depends on frequent communication and quick decision-making.

What we’re looking for

  • 1 to 2+ years of experience in a talent acquisition manager, recruitment lead, or team lead role, with ownership of a function or a substantial part of the hiring process.
  • Background in fast-moving startup or high-growth settings where priorities and hiring needs change often.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to stay aligned through rapid feedback cycles and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to solve challenging hiring problems, particularly in Product and Engineering recruitment.
  • Strong judgment for evaluating both technical ability and long-term fit within a team.
  • Comfort working in a lean People team where hands-on execution, process improvement, and problem-solving are all part of the role.
  • Experience improving interview quality through interviewer training, hiring manager calibration, and structured hiring methods.
  • Ability to move quickly without sacrificing thoughtfulness, candidate experience, or hiring quality.
  • Resourceful, solutions-driven approach with initiative to identify and remove hiring roadblocks.
  • Strong relationship-building ability and the capacity to become a trusted partner to hiring managers, leadership, and candidates.
