About the company

IGT operates globally at the intersection of technology, regulated gaming, and entertainment. Its products and services span casino experiences, mobile gaming, secure payments, and other interactive entertainment solutions. The organization works across 30+ countries, serves more than 100 jurisdictions, and is built around collaboration, accountability, ownership, and disciplined execution.

Role overview

This position is for an experienced Compensation Manager to own compensation programs, processes, and strategic initiatives for the EMEA and APAC regions. The role is especially relevant during a period of organizational integration and change, and it requires close partnership with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Finance, and business leaders. The goal is to build and run compensation practices that support attraction, retention, motivation, market competitiveness, internal fairness, and legal compliance across multiple countries.

The role requires strong independence, sound judgment, and the ability to influence regional outcomes while staying aligned with global compensation philosophy and governance. Performance will be evaluated based on program execution, operational effectiveness, stakeholder collaboration, market alignment, compliance, and ongoing process improvements.

Work location: Belgrade, Serbia. This is a flexible role based in Belgrade.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the rollout and day-to-day administration of compensation activities across EMEA and APAC, such as salary frameworks, market benchmarking, role evaluation, incentive structures, and annual compensation planning.
  • Work with HR Business Partners, recruiters, People Operations, and business leaders to provide practical pay guidance that reflects business priorities and current market conditions.
  • Act as a compensation specialist on pay philosophy, market competitiveness, pay equity, job architecture, and regional compensation practices.
  • Contribute to the planning, execution, communication, and management of yearly compensation cycles, including merit reviews, bonus planning, and salary adjustments.
  • Perform compensation analysis, market pricing, labor market research, and internal equity assessments to inform decision-making.
  • Run compensation intake meetings and advisory discussions with managers and HR partners for promotions, new hire offers, organizational changes, and workforce planning.
  • Draft, update, and maintain job descriptions so they remain aligned with the organization’s structure, market data, and employment regulations.
  • Monitor compliance with international, regional, and local compensation laws and requirements, including pay transparency and worker classification rules where relevant.
  • Manage compensation reporting, dashboards, and data analysis to surface trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Review compensation systems, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency, user experience, data quality, and scalability.
  • Support audits, governance activities, and compensation documentation while maintaining confidentiality and high data accuracy.
  • Contribute to regional and global compensation projects, organizational initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to compensation or HR colleagues when needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • 8 to 10 years of progressive compensation experience, including work with international compensation administration and analytics.
  • Background supporting compensation programs for EMEA and/or APAC within a global or matrixed organization.
  • Strong grasp of compensation fundamentals, market pricing methods, salary structures, and incentive design.
  • Knowledge of compensation laws, pay practices, and compliance considerations across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving ability with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Advanced Excel capability and strong data analysis skills, with hands-on experience using compensation planning tools, HRIS platforms, and reporting systems.
  • Ability to explain complex compensation topics clearly and consultatively to leaders and employees.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage compensation projects, timelines, and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • CCP certification, or an equivalent compensation credential, is preferred.
