About the Role
At Alstom, we specialize in transport networks that effectively connect people worldwide. Join us as a full-time System CAD Operator based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and contribute to cutting-edge railway engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update 2D CAD drawings and occasionally BIM models based on engineering guidance and installation specifications.
- Review and analyze design and installation plans received from civil contractors.
- Ensure the proper integration of subsystem equipment within the rail infrastructure.
- Participate in internal coordination, including clash detection and verifying volume clearances.
- Apply BIM Execution Plans and CAD procedural manuals when producing and reviewing documentation and models.
- Maintain compliance with project Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols and document codification requirements.
- Assist civil interface and BIM managers in preparing and validating technical deliverables.
- Collaborate with modeling teams to ensure alignment between system and civil work models.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Possesses a minimum of five years of experience in CAD design or a comparable role.
- Has familiarity or understanding of railway systems, civil infrastructure, or similar industries.
- Proficient in CAD software and BIM tools, with knowledge of BIM Execution Plans and CAD standards.
- Certification in CAD or BIM software is advantageous.
- Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exhibits effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
