System CAD Operator

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update 2D CAD drawings and occasionally BIM models based on engineering guidance and installation specifications.
• Review and analyze design and installation plans received from civil contractors.
• Ensure the proper integration of subsystem equipment within the rail infrastructure.
• Participate in internal coordination, including clash detection and verifying volume clearances.
• Apply BIM Execution Plans and CAD procedural manuals when producing and reviewing documentation and models.
• Maintain compliance with project Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols and document codification requirements.
• Assist civil interface and BIM managers in preparing and validating technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with modeling teams to ensure alignment between system and civil work models.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Possesses a minimum of five years of experience in CAD design or a comparable role.
• Has familiarity or understanding of railway systems, civil infrastructure, or similar industries.
• Proficient in CAD software and BIM tools, with knowledge of BIM Execution Plans and CAD standards.
• Certification in CAD or BIM software is advantageous.
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exhibits effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
