About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and skilled System Administrator to oversee and support our organization's IT infrastructure. This includes managing servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, and enterprise-level applications. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the continuous availability, security, optimal performance, and adherence to IT governance standards of all systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, and manage user access controls.
- Continuously monitor system performance to guarantee high availability.
- Conduct system upgrades, apply patches, and implement security updates.
- Manage virtualization environments such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Set up and maintain backup and disaster recovery mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
- Keep detailed system documentation and infrastructure diagrams updated.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards.
- Liaise with hardware and software vendors for support services.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in system administration.
- Proficiency in Windows Server management, Active Directory, DNS, virtualization tools (VMware/Hyper-V), and backup and recovery solutions.
- Experience with server hardware and storage technologies.
- Understanding of fundamental networking concepts.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to document effectively.
- Resilience under pressure and good reporting skills.
