About the Strategy Craft
The Strategy Craft is centered on deciding where brands should compete and how they can succeed. It uses research, insight, and behavioral understanding to shape long-range direction. Strategy teams question assumptions, identify growth opportunities, and inform decisions across the organization.
Role Overview
As SVP, Strategy and Regional Strategy Lead for EMEA, you will be the most senior strategic voice for the region. You will define strategic direction, strengthen craft quality, and support business growth across healthcare and life sciences accounts. Working closely with global and regional leaders, you will ensure strategy is locally relevant, globally connected, and commercially effective. The role blends client leadership, new business development, talent leadership, and strategic innovation across integrated healthcare communications work.
What You Will Be Doing
- Steer regional strategy across healthcare and life sciences accounts, including omnichannel brand planning, commercialization planning, customer experience, and integrated communications for both HCP and consumer audiences.
- Lead growth efforts through pitch ownership, executive client presentations, strategic workshops, and thought leadership that strengthens the company’s profile in the EMEA healthcare communications market.
- Develop, coach, and expand strategy teams across EMEA by supporting hiring, performance growth, resource planning, and mentoring senior strategists across several therapeutic categories.
- Work in close partnership with Creative, Client Services, Medical Strategy, Science & Regulatory, and global strategy leaders to produce integrated recommendations that deliver measurable client and business results.
- Promote strategic innovation and AI-enabled working methods by improving internal frameworks, introducing new approaches to brand and ecosystem strategy, and raising the quality of strategic work across the region.
Required Experience
- At least 15 years of experience in healthcare communications, pharmaceutical strategy, life sciences consulting, or integrated agency strategy, with leadership responsibility across regional or global accounts.
- Proven track record of building and leading strategy teams in an agency, consulting, or healthcare communications setting, including mentorship, performance oversight, and organizational growth.
- Strong history of leading new business pitches, senior workshops, and commercial growth initiatives for pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare brands across EMEA.
- Hands-on experience in omnichannel brand strategy, commercialization strategy, customer experience design, or integrated communications for both HCP and consumer audiences.
- Excellent executive-level communication and facilitation abilities, with experience presenting recommendations to senior clients, cross-functional leaders, and global stakeholders.
- Comfort using AI as part of routine strategic planning, collaboration, workflow coordination, and decision-making.
Preferred Background
- Enthusiasm for making AI a regular part of everyday work.
- Experience guiding strategy across areas such as specialty care, rare disease, oncology, immunology, or consumer health.
- Background in building regional strategic frameworks, methods, or innovation capabilities in fast-growing healthcare communications or consulting organizations.
- Existing relationships or network within the EMEA healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environment.
- Experience collaborating with teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC on integrated healthcare brand and commercialization initiatives.
- Consulting, transformation, or ecosystem strategy experience tied to growth, expansion, or capability-building programs.
