Role overview

This full-time Surveyor position is based in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, and follows a hybrid arrangement, with some work completed from home and site-based duties performed in the field. The role is centered on accurate surveying for land and construction activities, supporting design, layout, verification, and reporting needs across projects.

What you will do

  • Carry out land and construction surveys, including setting out points, leveling surfaces, and measuring distances, angles, and elevations.
  • Use surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS tools, levels, and related instruments to capture reliable field data.
  • Prepare topographic and boundary survey information and maintain complete, accurate measurement records.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to provide precise survey inputs for design, construction, and verification activities.
  • Verify site benchmarks, review quantities, and track as-built conditions during project execution.
  • Follow site safety procedures and contribute to technical reports, sketches, and supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of land and construction surveying techniques, including topographic, boundary, and layout surveys.
  • Practical experience using surveying instruments and software, including total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, levels, and associated tools.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, maps, and project specifications and convert them into accurate site markings and layouts.
  • Good documentation skills, including field data recording, report preparation, and basic CAD work for sketches and as-built records.
  • Knowledge of local surveying standards, construction methods, and on-site health and safety practices.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a similar discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability in field conditions.
  • Valid driving licence and readiness to travel to project locations when needed.
  • Prior experience in an engineering consultancy or construction setting in Saudi Arabia is considered an advantage.
