At Broughton House, a specialized 29-bed residential care facility for adults with severe learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors, we focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment that fosters independence and community engagement.

Job Role and Duties

• Deliver comprehensive and tailored care using a flexible learning approach for all residents.
• Provide physical and emotional support to encourage and guide individuals.
• Understand and respond effectively to the unique needs of each person in care.
• Assist with medical and welfare requirements, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
• Maintain safeguarding protocols to protect residents.
• Ensure the care environment is safe, clean, and conducive to wellbeing.

Working Hours and Conditions

This full-time role involves working 42 hours per week in 12-hour shifts on a two-week rotating schedule: Week 1 includes Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:45 AM to 7:45 PM; Week 2 covers Wednesday and Thursday with the same hours. Due to the facility's remote location and limited public transport options, having a valid driver's license and own transport is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting wage at 13.15 per hour, increasing to 13.45 after three months.
