Role Summary

The company is seeking a practical, hands-on Supply Chain & Purchasing Coordinator to take ownership of purchasing, inventory coordination, supplier interaction, and material movement activities that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. This is a broad, individual-contributor role in a smaller business, not a large corporate function with a narrow focus or a team of buyers beneath it.

In this position, your work may range from negotiating supplier lead times and checking stock levels to arranging shipments, addressing shortages, and partnering with engineering and operations to keep projects on schedule. The ideal candidate will enjoy variety, autonomy, and a collaborative environment where solving problems matters more than assigning blame.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle purchasing tasks and maintain regular communication with suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders and monitor them through completion.
• Track inventory quantities and confirm material availability.
• Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, delivery timelines, shortages, and lead-time changes.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Finance to support business needs.
• Keep ERP and inventory records accurate and up to date.
• Assist with receiving, stock handling, and shipping support when required.
• Spot and resolve supply chain disruptions before they affect production plans.
• Contribute to forecasting, planning, and inventory optimization work.
• Support ongoing improvements to supply chain processes.

What the Employer Is Looking For

• Background in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, planning, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Strong organization and consistent follow-through.
• Comfort working independently while balancing several priorities at once.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using ERP or MRP systems.

• Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Compensation

The expected annual salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000. Final pay will depend on experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
