Job description
Role overview
This is an opportunity to join a fast-scaling health food brand that has already gained strong early momentum across direct-to-consumer and retail sales. The business has grown to more than £1m in revenue and sells through major channels such as Ocado, Holland & Barrett, Amazon, and independent retailers. As the company enters its next stage of expansion in the UK and overseas, it is looking for a well-organised Supply Chain Manager to work closely with the founder and play a central role in day-to-day operations and customer experience.
The position is fully remote and offers broad ownership across supply chain coordination, order handling, customer communication, and operational support in a busy e-commerce and retail setting. Working hours are 9 am to 3 pm, and the salary range is £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
Key duties
- Handle daily communication through customer service inboxes and respond quickly to both trade and direct-to-consumer enquiries.
- Review Shopify order issues, record problems, and make sure they are resolved efficiently.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics partners to help ensure deliveries arrive on time and in full.
- Process and manage purchase orders from UK and export trade customers.
- Support invoicing, credit note preparation, and reconciliation of orders.
- Work with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to align stock levels and delivery timelines.
- Assist with demand planning and inventory control to support continued growth.
- Share operational updates across internal teams as needed.
- Partner directly with the founder on wider operational priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant will already have experience in operations or supply chain. Strong organisation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities at once are important. The role also calls for confident communication with both customers and internal teams, along with a practical, commercially aware approach to working with data and spreadsheets. A hands-on mindset and the ability to own tasks from start to finish are essential. Experience with order management systems or ecommerce platforms would be beneficial, and any background in FMCG, health food, or consumer brands would be an advantage.
Benefits and working style
- Salary of £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.
- Fully remote working.
- Flexible hours that can work around you.
- Opportunity to join the company as its first full-time employee.
