Located in San Diego, CA, this opportunity requires a hybrid work model with mandatory travel approximately three days a week. We are looking for a seasoned consultant specialized in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (D365 SCM) to spearhead client engagements that encompass design, rollout, and enhancement of supply chain solutions. The role demands expertise in driving transformation projects through consulting, client advising, and practical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle implementation and deployment of D365 SCM modules, including Inventory, Procurement & Sourcing, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Logistics.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze supply chain operations and implement scalable solutions.
  • Oversee solution architecture, configuration, data migration, integrations, and implementation activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-departmental teams such as Finance, Operations, IT, and Quality Assurance to assure coherent processes.
  • Manage user acceptance testing, training, go-live support, and system stabilization post-launch.
  • Engage with clients to evaluate their current supply chain processes and co-develop future operating models.
  • Provide advisory on process improvements and industry best practices across all SCM functional areas.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, assess business processes, and conduct solution workshops to gather needs and highlight transformation opportunities.
  • Offer functional guidance to delivery teams, review design solutions, validate implementation strategies, and encourage quality standards.
  • Support decision-making by performing gap analysis, risk assessments, resolving issues, and suggesting solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, balancing consultancy with hands-on execution.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in D365 Supply Chain Management consulting or enterprise business transformation roles.
  • At least 7 years leading comprehensive D365 SCM deployments in consulting or customer-centric environments.
  • A minimum of 5 years working across core supply chain functions such as Finance, Inventory Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, and Logistics within D365.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) conducting workshops, business process evaluations, and requirements gathering with clients.
  • 5 years translating client demands into detailed functional system designs and rollout guidance.
  • 4+ years involved with configuration, testing, data migration, system integrations, and implementation assistance in D365 programs.
  • 3+ years experience leading functional teams and managing multi-workstream collaboration.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities with clear communication across technical and business audiences.
  • A proven track record of combining strategic consulting with tactical delivery efforts.
  • Knowledge of integration standards involving Microsoft platforms and external enterprise systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% according to client and project requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Operations, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience participating in large-scale D365 SCM transformation initiatives.
  • Background in pre-sales, product demonstrations, and proposal crafting.
  • Expertise in change management, user training, and adoption programs.
  • Industry exposure to manufacturing, distribution, retail, or logistics sectors.
  • Certifications relevant to D365 SCM, ERP technologies, or consulting practice.
