Role overview
This position is for a Supply Chain / Logistics Coordinator who will help keep goods, materials, and information moving efficiently through the supply chain. The role focuses on coordinating day-to-day logistics work, following shipments, handling inventory records, and supporting on-time delivery while maintaining precision and smooth operations.
The coordinator will partner with suppliers, vendors, transport providers, and internal stakeholders to support the full logistics workflow. Success in this role calls for strong organization, quick problem-solving, and the ability to juggle several operational tasks in a busy environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee routine logistics activity, including dispatch, receipt, and distribution tasks.
- Track consignments closely, help prevent delays, and address delivery issues when they arise.
- Keep clear and accurate records for stock, orders, deliveries, and supply chain paperwork.
- Work with suppliers, vendors, freight partners, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
- Support purchasing coordination and order handling.
- Assist with inventory control, stock monitoring, and warehouse coordination.
- Prepare operational reports, progress updates, and logistics summaries.
- Spot supply chain gaps, inconsistencies, or process blockers and help resolve them.
- Follow shipping requirements, organizational policies, and quality expectations.
- Help arrange transport schedules and improve delivery routing when needed.
- Review performance metrics for supply chain activity and contribute to improvement efforts.
- Update and maintain logistics and inventory databases/systems.
- Support efforts to control costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain work with business priorities.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a similar discipline is required.
- Working understanding of supply chain workflows, logistics operations, and inventory control principles.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel and basic data handling tools.
- Experience with ERP platforms or logistics software will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organizational ability and the capacity to manage multiple tasks at once.
- High attention to detail and accurate record maintenance.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify and solve operational issues promptly.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to handle deadline-driven, time-sensitive work.
