Role Overview
Vrindaara is looking for a seasoned Supply Chain Director to lead end-to-end supply chain operations in a remote role based in the United States. The position is focused on shaping supply chain strategy, managing suppliers, keeping costs under control, and streamlining processes so the business can scale efficiently and sustainably.
Experience in medical manufacturing, medical devices, industrial manufacturing, or closely related sectors is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning and long-term planning of the supply chain function.
- Source, assess, and manage supplier relationships while building a dependable supplier base.
- Handle contract discussions and maintain effective vendor partnerships.
- Keep procurement and supply chain expenses in check and improve operational performance.
- Create supply plans aligned with business requirements and track their execution.
- Watch market trends and update supply chain strategies as needed.
- Work closely with production, operations, quality, and other internal teams.
- Strengthen and refine supply chain processes, workflows, and governance systems.
- Coach, manage, and develop members of the supply chain team.
- Take on other related duties assigned by the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain-related functions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams.
- Good understanding of supply chain processes, supplier management, and contract handling.
- Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation abilities.
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to work independently, lead projects, and deliver goals.
- Hands-on proficiency with office productivity tools and ERP platforms.
- Experience in international purchasing or global supplier management is preferred.
- Background in supply chain optimization and cost-reduction initiatives is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP and supply chain management tools is preferred.
- Strong business negotiation and contract administration skills are preferred.
- Experience collaborating across functions and managing projects is preferred.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving work environment is preferred.
- Experience in team building, talent growth, and performance management is preferred.
