Role Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting operations within the supply chain team. This role emphasizes procurement and management of indirect materials that are crucial for manufacturing and operational activities.
Key Duties
- Source and manage indirect materials while maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support production needs.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to forecast demand and promptly resolve any supply shortages.
- Handle communications with suppliers, including order placement and addressing any issues that arise.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by executing ERP system transactions and validating data.
- Assist with periodic cycle counts and full physical inventories, investigating any discrepancies found.
- Work alongside various teams to guarantee an uninterrupted flow of materials throughout the supply chain.
- Engage in continuous process improvements and expand knowledge of supply chain best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant coursework or an associate degree is advantageous.
- Between one and three years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or related operational functions.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational capabilities with keen attention to detail.
- Aptitude for swift learning and the development of strong problem-solving abilities.
