Position Overview
BCforward is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Supply Chain Analyst for a remote role based in the United States. The position has an anticipated start as soon as possible and is expected to last at least 12 months with potential extensions based on business needs. This role is designed to support end-to-end supply planning and supplier operations, ensuring prompt and accurate supply ordering, monitoring supplier performance, mitigating risks, and collaborating cross-functionally to maintain smooth operations.
Key Duties
- Ensure timely and precise supply orders and delivery align with business objectives.
- Oversee supplier lead times, track schedules versus plans, manage deviations, and mitigate supply risks.
- Recognize and address supply chain risks by evaluating supplier capabilities and optimizing processes.
- Stay informed on market trends, geopolitical developments, and technology roadmaps affecting supply and demand.
- Prepare for operational readiness involving new components, suppliers, equipment, and geographic expansions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve delivery concerns, prioritize urgent requirements, and uphold supply commitments.
- Champion adoption of new tools, systems, and metrics to increase visibility and data accuracy in supply processes.
- Cultivate supplier relationships focused on continuous performance enhancement.
- Conduct Request for Quotations (RFQs) by analyzing supplier quotes and recommending supplier selection based on set criteria.
- Resolve purchase order (PO) issues ensuring timely issuance to prevent delivery delays.
- Maintain precise supply chain data across various platforms and systems.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience managing supplier performance with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with effective data interpretation and solution recommendation skills.
- Skilled at preparing executive-level presentations and sharing business insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Highly detail-oriented and adept at juggling multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Expertise in data analysis and parts management within supply planning.
- Supplier relationship management and collaborative stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with RFQs, manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO), or data center environments.
- Project management experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AI applications to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Understanding of ethical AI principles, including quality assurance, risk evaluation, and bias prevention.
- Interest or experience in AI advancements, prompt engineering, or AI-powered process optimization.
- Knowledge of supply chain operations: forecasting, demand and supply planning, order management, MPS/MRP, inventory, and logistics.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range is $43 to $45 per hour, varying based on factors such as location, experience, and responsibilities. This does not include other benefits like paid time off or per diem.
