About the Role
The Supervisor at Rentokil Boecker® manages daily field activities and leads a team of Technicians to deliver pest management services efficiently, safely, and with high quality. This role ensures performance monitoring, team development support, and strict adherence to company procedures including Health & Safety, quality, and legal regulations. Maintaining operational excellence and customer satisfaction are key objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all pest control services follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Health & Safety guidelines, quality, and relevant legal regulations.
- Lead and promote a strong culture of Health & Safety, demonstrating safe working practices as a role model.
- Ensure compliance with customer site regulations, contractor policies, and permit-to-work systems where applicable.
- Verify correct use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by technicians.
- Manage safe handling, transporting, storing, and disposal of pesticides and related materials in line with regulations.
- Supervise the application techniques of pesticides, rodenticides, fumigants, and non-chemical control methods per approved procedures and product guidelines.
- Ensure all safety protocols are maintained during work at heights, confined spaces, or industrial environments when needed.
- Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, safety permits prior to work commencement.
- Conduct safety inspections in the field and observe employee behaviours to ensure continuous improvement.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts promptly and report findings to the Line Manager.
- Participate actively in all required Health & Safety training sessions.
- Comply with company and legal driving safety rules and oversee vehicle and equipment upkeep ensuring any faults are promptly addressed.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of inspection records, service logs, and other operational documentation.
- Monitor chemical management activities to maintain compliance with company policies and legal standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Education minimum: High school diploma up to college degree in any discipline (training provided by company).
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience leading teams in the pest control industry.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Completion of Health & Safety Onboarding Training Course is required.
- Valid driving license if assigned driving responsibilities.
