Job Overview

As a Street Light Complaint Call Taker, you will handle incoming calls from citizens reporting issues related to street lighting. Your role involves registering complaints accurately, updating the complaint management system, and coordinating with maintenance teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

Receive and document inbound citizen calls regarding street light issues.
Register complaints with complete details including location, pole number if available, contact info, and problem description using company software.
Provide callers with complaint reference numbers and basic progress updates.
Maintain courteous, professional communication throughout calls.
Follow established procedures for registering, updating, and escalating complaints as needed.
Coordinate with field maintenance teams for action when required.
Keep accurate records and ensure confidentiality of data.
Manage multiple incoming calls efficiently without compromising service quality.
Prepare and maintain simple reports utilizing Microsoft Excel.
Handle additional administrative duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

Completion of at least 12th grade; graduate candidates preferred.
Basic proficiency in computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience or ability to use complaint management software effectively.
Strong communication and customer service aptitude.
Accurate typing skills and meticulous record-keeping.
Attention to detail coupled with problem-solving capability.
Willingness to work in shifts as required.
