Role overview
A professional services and advisory client is looking for a Junior Consultant for a 4-month contract. The role sits within strategy, capability development, and public affairs, and involves working closely with senior stakeholders and project leads to create strong insight-led outputs that support clients through regulatory and policy change.
Key responsibilities
- Create and run surveys, and carry out both qualitative and quantitative research through interviews and desk-based analysis.
- Review and interpret data to surface trends, actionable insight, and the wider strategic consequences for clients.
- Build concise, well-structured PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
- Assist with client-facing reports and help shape the overall storyline and narrative of project deliverables.
Requirements
- Approximately 3 years of consulting experience, preferably with exposure to public affairs or work connected to government.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with hands-on experience using data and structured approaches.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex ideas in a clear way.
- Strong organisational skills, flexibility, and comfort working in fast-paced environments that may be less structured.
Engagement details
This is a 4-month engagement starting on 1 September 2026. The day rate is £500, and the assignment is based in London in a hybrid working setup.
