Role overview

A professional services and advisory client is looking for a Junior Consultant for a 4-month contract. The role sits within strategy, capability development, and public affairs, and involves working closely with senior stakeholders and project leads to create strong insight-led outputs that support clients through regulatory and policy change.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and run surveys, and carry out both qualitative and quantitative research through interviews and desk-based analysis.
  • Review and interpret data to surface trends, actionable insight, and the wider strategic consequences for clients.
  • Build concise, well-structured PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Assist with client-facing reports and help shape the overall storyline and narrative of project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3 years of consulting experience, preferably with exposure to public affairs or work connected to government.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with hands-on experience using data and structured approaches.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex ideas in a clear way.
  • Strong organisational skills, flexibility, and comfort working in fast-paced environments that may be less structured.

Engagement details

This is a 4-month engagement starting on 1 September 2026. The day rate is £500, and the assignment is based in London in a hybrid working setup.
